I'd recommend honestly looking at some videos and reviews about it before deciding if it's something you'd like to get into. Overall, Netrunner is a more complex game than something like Smash Up or Boss Monster (also on your list), but it has staying power that will stick with you in the long run if it's something you both take to. When you first start, games typically take 50-100% longer to play, so be aware that's a thing. Games of Netrunner can be 20-30 minutes apiece, but this typically comes after you've played a bit and can play at a more "regular" pace (that is, regular for what you'd play during a standard tournament round). Otherwise, be willing to both be patient with it as you learn, watch some vids online, and work together to understand it. It's really best if you have a friend who already knows it and can teach you. It's vague and it doesn't do a great job of resolving early rules questions. HOWEVER! Be warned that the rulebook isn't a particularly good time. To speak to Android: Netrunner, as someone who's played quite a bit of it, this CAN be a good one to get into with a SO. So it benefits from them learning from their older design and buffing it up.
